Eligibility Criteria for RDN Exam

Eligibility:

You are eligible to apply for the examination if you are:

  • An updated Regular PNDS member for the years 2014-16(2 years) OR
  • Life Member
  • M.Sc  with specialization in Foods & Nutrition  OR
  • 4-year-BS Home Economics with specialization in Nutrition
  • A Clinical Dietitian with at least 6 months practice in a clinical setting or

A Public Health Nutritionists with at least 6 months practice in a public health setting or teaching foods & nutrition in a post-secondary teaching institute. 

NOTE:

  • Applicants not fulfilling the specified degree criteria may be eligible if they can provide satisfactory evidence that they have acquired all the required competencies through degree/non-degree courses or on the job training. Such cases will be decided by the PNDS Registration Committee.
  • The application will be processed only if your membership is updated.
  • The exam will be held only if there are 10 or more registrations.

NEW EXAM CENTERS :  WE WILL TRY TO ORGANIZE THE EXAM IN ANY CITY THAT HAS TEN OR MORE APPLICANTS

 Result will be emailed to individual candidates within one month of the exam date. Those who fulfill the above criteria and pass the registration examination with an overall score of at least 50% and obtain at least 30% score within each category will be eligible to become PNDS accredited Dietitians or Nutritionists.

Registration needs to be renewed every two years. Renewal of registration will be contingent on meeting of the Continuing Nutrition Education/Professional Development criteria of 15 credit hours/ 2 years.
Fee for Renewal of Registration: PKR 1200/-
