‘Nutrition Care Process’

Speaker: Dr. Rezzan Khan, Consultant Nutritionist Shifa International Hospital Islamabad)

About 30 participants from different hospitals and educational institutes of twin cities Rawalpindi/Islamabad attended the session. She talk about the importance of standard nutrition care process in hospitals and what are the standard terms that could be used in that process. She discussed the detail of each step of that care process with some practical example. Throughout the session she interact with participants through different questions and about the practical implementation of NCP in health care institutes. Session was followed by certificate awarding ceremony with participation of 30 members  Feedback form were filled by the participant for further improvement after that at the end of Session Lunch boxes were served to all the participants at the end of activity sponsored by Abbott Nutrition.

2nd CNE on 1st September 2017

 

“Role of Neutraceuticals in Type 2 Diabetes Management”

 Speaker: Mrs. Hajra Ahmed (Asst. Professor, Home and Health Sciences Dept. AIOU Islamabad).

 

 About 70 participants attended the CNE including doctors, dietitians and Nutritionists. Initially Dr. Rezzan Khan, PNDS Islamabad Chapter explained the role of nutrition in diabetes management after that Mrs. Hajra Ahmed delivered Lecture. She discussed the importance of Neutraceuticals in Type 2 Diabetes Management and she presented different researches that showed the effect of different spices (cumin, cinnamon, chromium and fenugreek) on lipid on diabetes management. She discuss in detail about the dose and usage of the nutraceuticals in daily routine diet.

At the end of Session Lunch boxes were served to all the participants at the end of activity sponsored by Nestle Nutrition.

“Nutrition in the ICU- Latest guidelines”

Speaker: Dr. Rezzan Khan (Consultant Nutritionist, Shifa International Hospital)

 

About 30 participant from different hospitals and educational institutes of twin cities Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Peshawar attended the 5th CNE Lecture was delivered through power point presentation by Dr. Rezzan Khan. She talk about the importance of updated nutrition guidelines for critically ill patients in ICU.

The un-valuability of the members on that day were due to security season and no mobile network in Islamabad.Session was followed by certificate awarding ceremony with participation of 30 members. Feedback form were filled by the participant for further improvement after that at the end of Session Lunch boxes were served to all the participants at the end of activity sponsored by Nestle Nutrition.
