PROFILE:

Fayza Khan is the In-charge of Nutrition & Dietetics dept. at The Kidney Centre Post Graduate Training Institute, where she directs Nutrition & meal services for adults and pediatric patients; devising diet plans & counseling both inpatient & out patients. She joined as an executive member of PNDS (Pakistan Nutrition & Dietetic Society) and currently serving as President.She was honored to receive Dr. CHING-HWA CHIU ASIAN OUTSTANDING YOUNG DIETITIAN AWARD 2018

She has keen interest in research; & has been involved in various research projects during her educational & professional experience; she recently completed a study on “Dietary Patterns & Anthropometric Status of healthy Adults”.

She also worked with SIUT (Sind Institute of Urology & Transplantation) where she was “Clinical Nutritionist” & responsible for diet consultation & counseling for urology, nephrology, diabetic & post transplant patients & was also involved in nutrition oriented research work and group education programs.She worked for Unilever as “Corporate Wellness Nutritionist”. Where she provided Nutrition consultancy services and helped in initiating, developing & implementing nutrition oriented wellness activities, across the company for improving employees’ health. She also developed consumer oriented print material and has been providing information on Nutrition, health & wellness to promote healthy eating practices among the employees. She has also appeared as a Nutritionist/Health Expert in several Television programs

She began her career from Cupola group of companies, as Q.A officer (quality assurance management).Where ,she assisted Q.A. Manger in auditing, product development, evaluation and training of employees and management, finding out about customers tastes and preferences and carrying out necessary steps for improving and maintaining of standards.
She did her initial dietetic internship from Kidney Centre PGTI, & KFC (formerly called Artal Group of companies). She earned a graduate & Masters Degree in (Foods & Nutrition) from R.L.A.K College of Home Economics.
