“PNDS LAHORE CHAPTER LAUNCHING CEREMONY”

The Pakistan Nutrition and Dietetic Society (PNDS) has launched its Lahore Chapter on Friday 27th June 2014 at Royal Palm Hotel, Lahore .PNDS members from Lahore, Faisalabad and other nearby areas participated in the program with great enthusiasm. More than 150 Professional Dietitians, Nutritionists and Nutrition and Dietetic Students from various Institutions and organizations attended the program.
General Sect. PNDS, Lt Cdr Rabia Anwer shared her views that PNDS chapter launch was a long awaited dream of PNDS .She introduced PNDS Lahore CHAPTER INCHARGE, Professor Ghazala Pervaiz Zaman, Head of Foods and Nutrition Dept, College of Home Economics Lahore along with Saira Hayat, Lecturer Nutrition Sciences and Shazia Zahra, Senior Dietitian Fatima Memorial Hospital as her council members. This was followed by Official Chapter Launching Ceremony in which MOU was signed.
Prof Ghazala acknowledged Dr Matina Zia and Dr Nighat Bhatti as pioneers, without their support establishment of Nutrition and Dietetic Profession in Lahore would not have been possible.
Program was conducted with the support of Tetra Pack’s initiative “Grow Healthy Pakistan” Fahad Miral , Marium Mustufa( Manager Marketing) talked about Safe Milk production practices & Grow Healthy Pakistan’s strategies to combat Malnutrition among School Children.
Program was concluded with a question answer session where different panel of experts answered the queries from the audience. Vote of thanks was given by Vice President Saima Rasheed, souvenirs were presented to the panelists as a token of thanks.
