Pakistan Nutrition and Dietetic Society (PNDS) invites you to attend a Workshop on Critical appraisal skills for nutrition research

Overview:

The aim of the workshop is to develop and enhance the critical appraisal skills necessary for success in the field of nutrition research for postgraduates. The workshop is aimed at early career researchers (graduates) who are already undertaking MSc / MPhil / PhD studies or embarking on those studies. The programme consists of an interactive lecture and practical activities.

Who can attend:

The programme is open to postgraduate nutrition students, research scholars and those working in the nutrition profession who are considering undertaking research degrees.

Learning outcomes:

By the end of the workshop attendees will be able to:

  • Enhance their understanding of evidence-based practice in health and social care
  • Develop their critical appraisal skills
  • Use critical appraisal skills to underpin reviews and develop systematic reviews
  • Understand and select a range of study designs used in nutrition for developing research proposals
  • Familiarize with the process of scientific writing for publication and its value

Programme consists of an interactive lecture and practical activities.
